StarPore® Cranial Implant

Advanced Porous Polyethylene (PPE) Tissue Scaffold

Rx Only

Anatomics’ StarPore® Cranial Implant is an innovative, Patient-Specific Implant (PSI) that is biologically inert and made from Porous Polyethylene (PPE). Without the need for pre-drilled holes, StarPore is fixated with mini plates and screws (such as Aesculap’s Neuro Plating System) and sits in the skull defect to eliminate a visible or palpable margin. Minor modifications can easily be performed with a scalpel or surgical scissors. The StarPore Cranial Implant permits adhesion of the soft tissue, may stabilize the implant1 and is compatible for postoperative imaging via CT and MRI.

For complex cases, the surgeon can be involved in the implant configuration and a CT-based BioModel skull replica and surgical template is provided for cases to help ensure implant accuracy, precise implant positioning and the best possible patient outcome.
